Prepare yourself for one of the best views of Amsterdam, when you install yourself at the SkyLounge of the DoubleTree hotel.
Located next to Amsterdam Central Station (facing the station on the right hand side), this hotel offers a big rooftop terrace with a 360° view of the city going further than the air traffic control tower of Schiphol airport.
The drinks and snacks are expensive and I would not particularly recommend sitting inside because the bar is hip and flashy and the vibe is a little bit nouveau riche, but on a sunny day this view is definitely worth visiting the SkyLounge for. The SkyLounge made my recommendation list for one or two afternoon drinks on a sunny Sunday because of the spectacular view.
